Pop & Rock Band Classes
Band Group Classes give students an opportunity to experience what it is like to be in a band. They gain an understanding of the role of their own instrument while also exploring new instruments like
drums, bass, and voice. Students will gain confidence in a positive social environment with the opportunity to perform live at the end of each session.
These classes are the perfect complement to private lessons. This is a great place to ignite a new excitement for making music with kids their own age! All instruments are welcome.
Join the band! Beginning Band is great for kids who are looking to expand their playing experience. As a part of the band, students pursue their primary instrument while learning to play in a group. All instruments are welcome!
Requirements: Kids need to be able to play chords and follow chord progressions with at least 1 year of piano or guitar private or group lessons or previous music experience. This class offers the opportunity to sing along with microphones while playing their instruments with live sound.
This class is divided in 3 age group:
Age 6/8 – Age 9/12 – Age 13/18

If your child has taken beginning band, they’re ready to join Intermediate! This class gives students opportunities to improve with their own instrument while also offering the opportunity to keep exploring new instruments like drums, bass, and vocals. Expect more challenging songs and rhythms. All instruments are welcome!
Requirements: Kids need to be at intermediate level and be able to play chords and follow chord progressions with at least 2 years of piano or guitar private or group lessons or previous music experience.

Rock out! Advanced Band Ensemble is great for kids who want to gain leadership experience and continue learning to play in a band. Students will continue to pursue their primary instrument while learning to play in a group setting. Advanced Ensemble will help your child get to the next level, while having fun with peers and gaining a well-rounded understanding of music. All instruments are welcome.

Guitar Group
These small group Guitar Classes introduce kids to the concepts of rhythm, reading music, and ear training while learning how to use a proper technique on the guitar. Kids will be exposed to a wide range of musical genres. Group Classes are the perfect way to learn guitar while having fun and socializing with peers and gaining the ability to play in a group.

Returning guitar students continue to progress by learning chords, more strumming variations, and continue improving on reading music. Kids will focus on expanding their musicality, playing with a steady beat, singing while playing, and learning to read guitar charts.

Guitar 3 students continue to develop their skills by learning power chords and barre chords, fingerpicking, and continue to improve reading music. In this class, singing along is encouraged as we play music from all different genres.

Piano Group
These small group Piano Classes introduce kids to the concept of reading music while learning how to use a proper hand technique on the piano. Students will learn to play chords and eventually be able to follow the chord progressions of their favorite songs. All Piano Classes follow a book to learn music fundamentals while also learning to play by ear. Group Classes are the perfect way to learn piano while having fun and socializing with peers and gaining the ability to play individually and in a group.
This piano class is especially for kids who have never taken piano before. In a group setting, kids will work on getting to know the piano/keyboard, play together on a steady beat, and understand the musical alphabet. By the end of the session, students will be able to play a few fun songs.

Kids will continue to focus on expanding their musicality on the piano. Chords will be introduced in this class. Students will practice playing with a steady beat, understanding the musical alphabet, and using proper hand technique while learning new songs and rhythms.

Drum Group
The only Group Drum Classes in Chicago! These small group classes of up to 4 students are nothing but fun. Drummers will be introduced to basic rhythms, drum beats, and proper technique. Students will have fun jamming to all of their favorite songs.

Bass Group
Need description
This class will introduce note reading on the Bass Clef. Kids will learn real songs playing with backing tracks. No need to practice alone. Students will feel motivated by learning, playing and jamming to all of their favorite songs in a group setup. Students will get all the beginner fundamentals, knowledge, techniques and skills needed before trying Pop & Rock Band!

Try It All
Try it all…Find Your Instrument! Kids take turns on guitar, drums, keyboards, and vocals, which allows them to discover and explore all of the instruments before committing to just one. It’s a fun, low pressure way to form a connection with the instrument they enjoy the most. Best of all, there’s no pressure to practice at home!
