At Walking Fingers Music School, we commit ourselves to providing Music Instruction that is Quality, Professional, and Fun.
A little history
WFMS was founded in 2011 by Gabriel Medina.
Gabriel grew up in Tucuman, a very musical town in north Argentina. At age 12, Gabriel picked up a guitar for the first time and never put it down. After arriving in the US, Gabriel worked relentlessly to be accepted to the Berklee College of Music, where he then received a degree in Music Production & Composition.
Shortly after, Gabriel discovered that his background as an instructor, along with his education and experience as a performing musician gave him the unique skill set to guide music students of all ages to incredible results. Through word of mouth only, the business grew and grew.
With the leadership of Mr. Medina, WFMS has taught students hailing from over 40 countries, ages 3-80, in all ability levels for the past 12 years in the Greater Chicago Area. WFMS continues to be a top choice for Chicagoans year after year.
What to expect
At Walking Fingers Music School, we commit ourselves to providing Music Instruction that is Quality, Professional, and Fun. Our goal is to create lifelong musicians.
Quality
Our Music Instructors perform at a high level; they have experience teaching children, create fun, yet engaging learning experiences, and know how to motivate learners of all ages to continuously improve. Each week the student will receive a “Weekly Progress Chart” to document what they learned and need to practice before the next lesson. You should expect to see regular growth and improvement. We produce results.
Professionalism
Our instructors know that your time is valuable. We maintain consistent communication with you regarding your child’s progress. You can expect your instructor to be on-time and reliable. As performing musicians, we also teach our students by example to be responsible and prepared. Every instructor has been carefully selected and passed a full background check.
A Fun, Engaging Experience
Because Music should be fun! Our teachers are lighthearted and in-touch with young people. We teach our students to always be ready to perform, whether it’s for grandpa, the neighbors, or their classmates. When making music is a joyful experience, it tends to last for a lifetime. Our instructors love music and are passionate about sharing that with others.
